Vietjet to launch new flights from Hanoi to Chengdu, Xi'an

Vietjet is expanding its network in Mainland China with the addition of new routes from Hanoi to the cities of Chengdu and Xi'an.


From July 1, the Vietnam-based budget airline will launch the new four-times weekly service between Hanoi and Chengdu Tianfu Airport. The outbound flights will depart in the evening every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, while the return flights will depart and arrive the following morning (Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday).


The Hanoi-Xi'an route will start on July 6 with four weekly flights departing in the evening every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The return flights will depart and arrive the following morning.


Between Hanoi and Chengdu, Vietjet will be the lone budget airline to offer flights on the route. China-based Sichuan Airlines and Chengdu Airlines currently operates flights between to/from Tianfu Airport.


Vietjet's new service to Xi'an will add to its services to the city, where it currently operates flights from Ho Chi Minh City. China Eastern currently operates flights between the two cities.
